In the end from the ocean appeared Dhanvantari with the pot of the heavenly nectar of amrita. Between the devas and the asuras there broke out a fierce battle for the right to possess the amrita. The devas hid the nectar from the asuras in four places on earth — in Prayag, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nashik. It is believed that from that time these places possess mystical power. For this very reason once every twelve years the festival Kumbh Mela is held there.
In the end the asuras gained the upper hand over the devas and took all the amrita for themselves. The devas then again turned to Vishnu for help, who assumed the form of Mohini — a maiden of extraordinary beauty. Taking advantage of the fact that the asuras were distracted by her beauty, Mohini stole the amrita from them and distributed it to the devas, who at last were able to taste the heavenly drink. One of the asuras by the name of Rahu took the form of a deva, intending to drink the nectar, but Surya and Chandra recognized the impostor and informed Mohini about him. Rahu began to drink the amrita, but before he could swallow it, Mohini cut off his head with the divine discus, the Sudarshana Chakra. As a result the demon’s head, having touched the nectar, became immortal and turned into the planet Rahu, who, desiring to take revenge on the Sun and the Moon, sometimes swallows them, causing solar and lunar eclipses. In the end, the devas, having drunk the amrita and regained strength, gained the victory over the asuras.”
But! What is interesting is something else. Surya and Chandra — be sure to read separately in Wikipedia what Surya is and who Chandra is. Surya is precisely the God of the Sun, Chandra is the Goddess of the Moon. This is precisely these two worlds, between which there is this golden middle.
Out of what is curious, when I was now reading where the middle of the world is mentioned, this “gmar tikkun” was encountered — “this is the final correction, the final state of all creation, when the lowest point of creation attains the same state as the highest. The complete correction of all qualities, the complete merging with the Creator. The end of correction does not bring with it anything new, previously unknown, but with the help of the light of Atik all Man and Mat are united. All zivugim and all levels, which emerged over the course of
