I supposed that there is heaven, earth, the underground kingdom in the world of the moon, and heaven, earth, the underground kingdom in the world of the sun. And there is the afterworld, which is both there and there, which connects them as something in the middle, common. And I was then reasoning correctly to the effect that, if we are discussing only one world, let’s say, the world of the moon, then we consider that in the world of the moon there are four elements, that is, four days. Because the fourth one is death. And likewise I supposed that if we count the sun and its days, that there is also a fourth there, that is, death, but it is the common one. And I would also give an example, so that a person could understand, and I would say: “Well, let’s imagine that I have a friend, Maxim. He has two Mercedes, I have two BMWs, but we have a Ferrari in common.” And of course, when they ask me how many cars I have, I say three. And he, when they ask him how many cars he has, says three. And when someone asks us to bring all our cars over, because we need six cars for the exhibition, we say: “But there will not be six of them, but five.” And they don’t understand why. And we say: “Well, because he has two Mercedes, I have two BMWs, and the Ferrari is the common one.” And this is how I would explain this middle world. And this is not an error. Right now I simply want to give some additional reflections on this account.

Reflections on this account, which I had this morning: let us return to our formula, that we have the moon, which consists of two worlds — the underground kingdom and the world of the dead. And we have the sun. But it’s as if it isn’t there. That is, the sun — what is it? It isn’t there as an element. There is only that which it consists of, two parts — heaven and the earth. And here is the question now: how is one to count? And because of this all the people get confused, those who want to figure out all these alchemical, Masonic, sacred kinds of knowledge, these secrets. That if we count that the moon is in total two elements, and the sun is two elements, then in total there are four of them. And if we even count, and what is higher — the sun, the moon… that is, the star, then all the same four elements remain. That is, because of the crossing of these two worlds and those two worlds, the star is formed, because of the coming to know the four worlds. That is, in essence, it’s as if there are four elements after all. And one can calculate all of this even more interestingly — that maybe there are not even four of them, but two. Why? Because under the sun there are two worlds, two elements, out of which the sun consists, and the moon is a reflection. And so, is one to count the moon or not? Well, these are the kinds of reflections.
