already not be by your rules, and you’ll lose yourself. But again, this rule — I’ve
mentioned it already in my old books, back when I was writing ten or fifteen
years ago. I wrote this about the world of the Spirit; the rule holds within it. And
I always said that these rules don’t work in the world of people. And those people
who began to apply these rules in the world of people, for them it looked like sin
and egoism, and they were then punished, and they’re sitting in the underground
kingdom to this day. I want you to take this on note, I’m deliberately giving a
little scare. That is, this rule doesn’t concern anyone, not a single reader, not a
single person, by no means — otherwise you’ll become evil egoists if you begin
not to yield on your opinion and not to yield to everyone. You mustn’t do that.
This is me personally telling my own. That when I’m the Spirit, then the Spirit is
such a delicate organization. That is, it’s something so very tender, and it exists
as long as you believe in it, feel it, and live by this feeling. The moment you go a
little against the Will of God, that is, against this feeling, against the Spirit… As
people put it — do something not to the liking, and the soul will go out at once, or
more precisely the Spirit and, consequently, the star. And if I’m to give a physical
example about this, then it’s the same as — I might tell a person: “Let’s go for a
walk in the park at sunset,” and he’ll start distorting it all. And everything inside
me begins to clench. And since I don’t want to quarrel with the person, since I
don’t want to argue with him, then what can I do? Agree with him. The moment I
do that, the Spirit will go out. And how to be, then? And so it turns out I say: “No,
I can only do the park at sunset, an hour before sunset.” If the person begins to
persuade me that morning is better, then everything inside me clenches, and I
say: “No, you mustn’t.” And he begins to talk me round, like all people: “But what
are you doing in the morning? Are you busy or something?” I say: “No, I’m not
busy. But I only want the park at sunset, I don’t want the park in the morning.”
And the person, he can even talk me into it, you know how, by simply saying:
“Let’s go both in the morning and at sunset, so it’s good for both you and me.”
Even if I agree that way, it’ll already be against the Spirit. That’s how it works.

There’s another good example, the most interesting one: when you’re the
Spirit, in the magical world, you’ve eaten and you feel that that’s it now, stop.
And you live entirely by feelings when you’re in the Spirit. And they tell you:
“No, eat one more spoonful for Mom.” And you say: “Guys, I’m done.”
