Conversation with the Mystic-Old-Man.

Alexandr: Hello. I have a question. The concept of immortality — does it have several, many different versions, or is there still one primary meaning in the literal sense?
Mystic-Old-Man: No, there are different versions, completely different.
Alexandr: Alright, then the next question is this. One of the versions I have already grasped — does that mean I’ve become immortal, considering that it is one of the versions?
Mystic-Old-Man: The thing is, an immortal person over the course of infinity could be hit by a meteor several times and buried in the ground — and still be immortal. From the perspective of nature itself, that’s impossible, but from the perspective of endless rebirths — it’s possible. So the word “immortality” is meant, understood... And it’s understood... People who are, let’s say, within temples — they understand it one way. Those who are near temples — understand it another way. And those from flying saucers — they understand it on a completely different level. From the perspective of devout people — they’re demons, because they’re roughly a trillion or ten trillion years smarter than us. And look, it’s not just a matter of scale, it’s that their minds have completely different properties, so it’s cheaper, simpler, and easier to just call them demons. And that’s exactly what the temple clergy do. While other spiritual authorities call them gods with chariots, with fire, or whatever else. So we’re not just talking about various understandings or a fireworks display of understanding, or a fan of interpretations — we’re dealing with ceilings of unattainable levels of understanding. And so it turns into a question that ultimately leads nowhere, because we won’t even be able to agree on what we mean by the level of understanding, or the fireworks and the heights of understanding.
Alexandr: All right, then I’ll ask this question. So, I recently understood death and what the dodecahedron is, and I realized that when a person, in their understanding, thinks that “if I die, then I continue living” — that’s a kind of principle of immortality. I consider that immortality: like, if a meteor hits me, then it’s as if I just continue living in another multiverse. In that one I was hit, but in this one I wasn’t. Is that what you meant?
