“A star polygon is a polygon in which all sides and angles are equal, and its vertices coincide with those of a regular polygon. The sides of a star polygon may intersect with each other. There are many types of star polygons or stars, including the pentagram, hexagram, two types of heptagram, octagram, decagram, and dodecagram.”

“The apocryphal text The Ascension of Moses

The legend of Moses from the Latin version of the apocalyptic text Assumptio Mosis (“The Ascension of Moses”), from which only a fragment survives, was first published in 1727 in Thessaloniki under the title השמ תלזדג; it was translated by Gaster under the title The Revelation of Moses.
As a reward for the humility Moses showed when God sent him to Pharaoh to demand the release of the Hebrew people, God commands Metatron (Enoch) to allow Moses to ascend to heaven. After Metatron transforms Moses’s body into a fiery one, like that of the angels, he personally guides him through all seven heavens. In the first heaven, Moses sees water “standing like a wall,” and windows through which everything related to human life and needs is released and withdrawn. In the second heaven, Moses sees angels in charge of the clouds, winds, and rain; in the third — angels responsible for vegetation;
in the fourth — angels overseeing the sun, moon, stars, planets, and celestial spheres; in the fifth — angels whose bodies are made half of fire and half of snow;
in the sixth — “Irin and Kadishin”;
in the seventh (the “Aravot”), he sees first the angels of “wrath and fury,” then the angels of death, then the chayot standing before God, and finally the angel whose duty is to instruct the souls created by God at the time of creation and placed by Him in paradise. Then God tells Moses that He wishes to honor him even more and allow him to see both hell and paradise; at God’s command, the archangel Gabriel leads Moses into hell.”
