Conversation with the Mystic-Old-Man.
Alexandr: Hello. I have a question. There’s this story about the God of Death, Mara, who attacked Buddha before his awakening. So it turns out that before he awakened and became the Buddha, his final trial was when this Mara tested him. And my question is: am I in a similar situation right now?
Mystic-Old-Man: Yes, Alex, you are activated.
Alexandr: Alright. Then another question. This way she’s testing — how many more blows or provocations or trials will there be? One, two, three..?
Mystic-Old-Man: Ten.
Alexandr: Will they all be of the same intensity or will they increase?
Mystic-Old-Man: In waves.
Alexandr: Alright. And I must... What is the purpose of this? Am I supposed to become spiritually strong enough not to react at all, not even a little?
Mystic-Old-Man: Formulate it again.
Alexandr: So these trials are meant to make me stop reacting to everything, to have calm within, and as long as I react, I will continue to be provoked like this. Right?
Mystic-Old-Man: Well, you could say that.
Alexandr: Alright. And is this done for my benefit, so that I gain deeper knowledge of how the world is structured and become who I’m meant to be?
Mystic-Old-Man: Well, not exactly like that directly.
Alexandr: But after this trial, will I become stronger when it ends? After Mara?
Mystic-Old-Man: Yes, yes.
Alexandr: And after that, will the dark forces no longer disturb me?
Mystic-Old-Man: Not necessarily.
Alexandr: So the dark forces will remain as they were. The point is that I must learn to respond to them correctly?
Mystic-Old-Man: That’s part of it.
Alexandr: And is this preparing me for something, or is it simply a path of development?
Mystic-Old-Man: A path of development.
Alexandr: And did this trial by Mara begin long ago or recently?
Mystic-Old-Man: Recently.
