Well, it’s understandable. Just imagine, not long ago — only a hundred years ago — there was no light, you understand? No electricity. No flashlights. No cars. Nothing. There were chariots, and everyone walked with lanterns. Recently, I watched the movie “The Raven” from 2011 about Edgar Allan Poe, and what could people do back then? They went to theaters, drank beer by candlelight in taverns, rode horses — but they put all their soul, all their intellect into mechanisms, creating various machines. Now, you see, we are in the era of the internet, electricity, and the world has radically changed, and time has passed. Okay, if this change had taken centuries for humanity, but it’s been just one century, basically. Just over a hundred years ago, when the Tsarist Empire fell — the Russian Empire — the last Tsars of the Romanov family could already, imagine, take a photo with a camera, but before that, cameras didn’t even exist. Imagine, only a hundred years ago we got cameras, video cameras, electricity, cars, airplanes. So very recently, none of this existed. Imagine there are still people on Earth alive now who are a hundred years old — old men and women born at a time when none of this existed yet. So this person still exists on Earth. For some, a hundred years seems short; for others, it’s a lot. Curious. But still, in those times people valued books more than they do now. Nowadays, everyone just watches silly 10-second videos. So I write a book for those whom time will bring to a place where their electricity runs out, and hopefully they’ll start reading books again. Just kidding. And the last thing the system revealed to me is the “mirror” — a funny word, right? It’s that very sphere that God holds on an icon. And the “measuring rod” is like a scepter. You see, in Christianity or Orthodoxy, the “mirror” is actually the orb that God holds, and the measuring rod is the scepter or staff that He holds. Also, there was a hint that there are seven archangels. I noted that there are seven archangels. That also caught my attention recently. Also, the “gifts of the Holy Spirit.” When I read about this back in 2023, when I finished the first volume of “Alternative History,” it spoke about certain gifts a person receives — abilities like understanding languages and so on — and one of those abilities was to discern Spirits. Back then I didn’t give it much meaning; I had only known one Spirit, but now, you see, I have learned to discern Spirits.
