— It will be useful to you in the future. Write everything down. All your strange sensations, states, feelings, everything that happens, everything you see — write it down. All this will later be useful in the future.
And now that time has come. And as I read through my diaries, I understand what it was all about, and why it was necessary to write it all down. And when, back in my first drafts, in my early rough books, I wrote that I was keeping diaries, that it was very important, and that I advised all other readers to do the same, I can now also say: the time has come, and if you have such diaries, if they remain and have been preserved, find them. And in those diaries, find every entry of that self, that version of you, when you described some incredible, otherworldly place, where there was magic and happiness and nothing but paradoxes. If you ever encountered this even once and wrote it down, find those notes. Find every entry where this magical world was mentioned — the very world I am now, in a way, working to uncover. It turns out that the ninth volume is, indeed, a journey. Truly, it is some kind of path in search of a magical place, and indeed, one might draw an analogy with the stories of Jules Verne. But again, it is still not to be taken in a literal, physical sense, as one might be tempted to think. It is not about some particular city or country — it is about, let’s say, this “dimension,” in quotation marks. It is about this multiverse, that there is a parallel world, though one cannot notice it — even if, at some moment, you happened to step into it for a brief instant. People do not see the boundaries between worlds; they think it is just a mood, or that they imagined it, and then they quickly forget. But in truth, this magical world exists. It turns out that back when I was still little, I often wrote about this world and openly told everyone through my books that “It is right here on Earth, the same hell, the same paradise. Everything is here, on Earth.” That is, it is not somewhere else, like in the movies, where you must fall beneath the ground to reach hell, or where you are literally up in the clouds to be in heaven. No — it is right here. It is just that, as though there are these different things which I then began to call “frequencies.” And it is as if there is an entire world where all people are happy; a whole world where people are unhappy; a whole world where people are sick. And it is as though it is all so intricately interconnected — world and human being are equal. I would even make such an illustration, that the world and a person — are equal.
