The first account: 1:26 — 2:3;
The second account: 2:4 — 3:24.
According to the first version (Gen. 1:26–29), the forefathers of humanity — man and woman — are created by God after the creation of the birds, fish, and beasts. According to the Bible, God said: ‘Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth’ (Gen. 1:26). ‘So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them’ (Gen. 1:27).
According to the second version, God first created one man, then created the paradise garden and placed the man in it as gardener: ‘And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it’ (Gen. 2:15). God created all the beasts and birds and brought them to the man so that he might choose a helper from among them (Gen. 2:18–20). However, no suitable helper was found, therefore God caused Adam to fall asleep, took one of his ribs, and created from it the first woman — Eve, who became the wife for the first man (Gen. 2:21, 22). ‘And they were both naked, Adam and his wife, and were not ashamed.’”
And then comes the story of how the Fall and the expulsion from Eden took place. “In the midst of the Garden of Eden there were two special trees: the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. The Lord allowed Adam to eat ‘from every tree in the garden,’ and only the fruits of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil He forbade him to eat, warning that the consequence of disobedience would be death.” Because he would immediately fall into the world where there is illness and death. Further: “The serpent (the image of Satan), who ‘was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made,’ with tricks and cunning persuaded Eve to taste the fruit of the forbidden Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. The woman refused, saying that God had forbidden them to eat from this tree, because the one who eats the fruit will die. But the serpent told her the opposite: ‘You will be as gods,
