With freedom, in quotation marks, “freedom.” And it always looks like this: a child wants a motorcycle or wants free money, but the parents don’t give it, because the child might spend that money on bad things. And if he buys a motorcycle, he might crash. And the parents won’t let that child go, you see, to a festival in Ibiza somewhere, where — you understand perfectly well — what kind of people are there and under what kind of substances. You see? And the parents don’t let their daughter or son go, they worry. I myself wouldn’t let them go. But how does the child begin to perceive this? What will he say? He’ll say: my parents are depriving me of freedom. So the child thinks that everything forbidden, sinful, everything that must not be done, everything that is a sin or a vice — the child thinks this is freedom, that if only he could do it, and since he is forbidden, then it’s as if you are depriving him of freedom, you see? And that’s the association all these people, these children, have. And so, if suddenly such a child has in his circle a devil-tempter, then this devil-tempter begins to appear in the role of a so-called “liberator,” as if he’s giving this child that kind of freedom. And the child begins to love him and trust him. Can you imagine? That’s why every time I told my friend, when he got his paycheck, not to buy a motorcycle and cigarettes, but instead to pay for English classes and a speech therapist, since he spoke poorly, to him I seemed very boring, dull, and bad. Especially bad. Why? Because when he could spend all his money on, let’s say, caps, pogs, and yo-yos, and I told him: “You fool, you should’ve bought yourself some pants, your last pair is full of holes,” of course that was unpleasant for him. That made me the bad guy. But the friend who went with him and pushed him to spend all that money on caps and pogs — that’s the friend he loved, because that friend didn’t judge him. You see? That’s the truth, the essence.

But now further. What does all this mean? When you enter the world of heaven, you are supposed to be in that paradise, in bliss — there must be no conflicts at all. Because any conflict, any argument, even with the best intentions, if you do something and it leads to an argument, then it throws you out of heaven. And so, if you want not to lose this world of heaven, you must understand that there should be no arguments, and if there are to be no arguments, that means you must not interfere in people’s lives.
