— Well, you understand that you hurt me directly?

— You understand that although back then, when you were emotional, you
said that I was the bad one, but you understand that I never did anything
bad to you at all?
— I understand. — and he describes it all to me in detail. — Yes, you really help
in everything, try in everything, solve everything. Yes, you have no intentions
to offend anyone.
That is, everything this employee, imagine, understands. And he himself
admits and says that yes, he did all this out of the blue, made it all up, that
he has been like this since childhood. That he has many relatives, and it
always infuriates him when they give him some advice. Although the advice,
he now understands, was correct and true. And I, of course, am in shock.
And so I say to the employee:
— You picked at me all this month, caused me stress. But do you see how I hold
up? I never raised my voice at you once, never was rude. And I really withstand
all your provocations, all your pressure. Of course, this is great, it toughens me
up strongly.
— Yes, you are strong.
— That’s it, listen, let’s not ride on my ears here (don’t flatter me/bullshit me),
you’re going to start agreeing with me here too.
And he laughs. But I see that he genuinely apologizes and understands that
he was really wrong. And he is even as if in shock, which I felt from the
conversation, as if this employee, when he did nasty things all his life to
all people, he got used to the fact that then all these people said that he
was bad. And he got used to it already, that now they will send him far away,
insult him, and he will do the same in response, and they scattered. And the
employee always did so. He would do some uncontrollable nasty thing and
knew for sure that after that he would be condemned. And as if he thought
“Well, that’s clear then”. And he always lived like that. And here he is
as if even grateful to me that he did so badly to me, and not just once,
