2. Sacrifice and Resurrection of Jesus (John 12:31, Colossians 2:15)

• Event: The culmination of the victory over Satan is the crucifixion
and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through His death on the cross, Jesus
atoned for the sins of humanity, and the resurrection confirmed His
power over death and the forces of evil.

Biblical verses:
– “Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be
cast out” (John 12:31) — Jesus speaks of Satan’s defeat through His sacrifice.
– “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He (Jesus) made a public
spectacle of them, triumphing over them in It” (Colossians 2:15).
• Meaning: The Cross and resurrection destroyed Satan’s power over
humanity, giving believers the opportunity to be free from sin and death
through faith in Christ.

3. Final Victory in the Apocalypse (Revelation 20:1–10)

• Event: The book of Revelation describes the future when Satan will be
finally defeated. He will be bound for a thousand years, then released
for a short time, after which he will be finally thrown into the “lake of fire”:
– “Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the
bottomless pit... He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the
Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years” (Revelation 20:1–2).
– After the final rebellion, Satan will be defeated forever: “The devil, who
deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone” (Revelation 20:10).
• Meaning: This is a prophecy about the ultimate victory of God
over Satan, when evil will be completely destroyed.

4. Victory of Believers through Faith (James 4:7, Ephesians 6:11–18)

• The Bible teaches that believers can defeat Satan through faith,
prayer, and God’s protection:
