Alexandr: So what exactly was he offering you?
Friend: Well, he had something there like... not exactly a confession, I don’t
know, something...
Alexandr: Communion.
Friend: No, not communion. He was having some kind of service.
Alexandr: A sermon.
Friend: Well, yes, a sermon. It wasn’t very clear...
Alexandr: Say “Amen.”
Friend: Not very clear at all...
Alexandr: “Hallelujah.”
Friend: Oh, exactly, yes.
Alexandr: Well, I see. At least he’s Orthodox.
Friend: Yes. It was truly unusual.
Alexandr: Alright. So, returning to the topic of Spirits and that first day when
we met up here, when you stopped by to see me. We were also discussing
time. And maybe — because my life is so strange and I’ve felt this influence
since childhood — it has always manifested in different ways: sometimes
it felt like something possessed people to speak to me, or it entered me;
sometimes there were signs; sometimes I heard a voice. I assume, once again,
that it’s like in the movie Interstellar. If time doesn’t exist, and I am something
or someone somewhere there in the future — or somewhere where time
stops and is no longer linear — then I was the one influencing myself,
influencing my entire life. It’s as if it’s all interconnected.
Friend: Uh-huh.
Alexandr: And how do you see it? Do you agree with this, or do you see
it differently? I remember you said it was so, but how do you personally
understand it?
Friend: Well, I understand it like this: there is the past, there is the future,
and there is what is here right now. If we assume that in the future you
are the Spirit communicating with yourself, then you can communicate
simultaneously in any projection. That is, back when you were a child, someone
was communicating with you — relatively speaking — from both now and the
future. Because, roughly speaking, time flows both forward and backward.
Something like that. So, it’s quite likely that you, as the Spirit in the future...
No, I’m saying it wrong.
