Wheel of Samsara, from these worlds of Sun and Moon, to stand above
them. Then it doesn’t matter what shirt you are wearing, and you have no
grievances against anyone. It doesn’t matter what kind of person approaches
you to talk — dark or light. You no longer react even one percent to whether
they smoke cigarettes or use foul language. You can have no claim against
them; you acknowledge them, understanding that they are part of nature,
part of the system, part of God. You were in their place; everyone was in
their place or will be in their place — it is inevitable. When you realize
this, you rise above it all and become something Third. This is it — this is
Wisdom and the Golden Mean. This is the Staff of Hermes. This is what it
means to be Between the Worlds. Being “between” doesn’t mean you are
half-here and half-there; it means you are in the space between them.
You are neither here nor there — but you can be in both, if you so choose.

I have in my notes that I see how a person who lies automatically falls into
that inverted world — the underworld. In that place, everything is framed
negatively, and your whole life is built that way: everyone perceives you
negatively, you have grievances against everyone, they have grievances against
you, you judge them, and everyone condemns you. If you tell a lie or hide
something, you land in this untruthful world where everything is a lie. This
is why confession exists and why they say one must confess. Confession and
communion are vital because the moment you admit and speak the truth,
you immediately enter the truthful world. That’s it. How easily can this
switch between worlds happen? You lie, and you fall into the lying world,
the underworld. Or, you simply speak the truth, and then you always remain
in the truthful world. There is likely an explanation for what I’ve been
writing since my childhood, from my very first books — though people didn’t
believe me when I said I always tell the truth. Everyone told me then, “That’s
impossible; everyone lies.” But I say, “I cannot lie.” The essence of it was this:
because you hide nothing and tell the truth, you have to live correctly;
then you have no need to lie. Logical, isn’t it? Consequently, because
you always tell the truth, you live correctly and do nothing bad.
And because you live correctly and tell the truth, you are always in a good
world. But the moment you tell an untruth, you fall into the underworld.
