Introduction

Probably everyone has already forgotten what was in the first, and in the second, and in the third, and in the fourth, and in the fifth, and in all the other previous volumes of this science fiction novel “Alternative History.” But I want to remind you of what was at the end of the first volume.

I put forward the hypothesis that a person begins his development from the level of instinct, when he cannot think logically, but he has animal instincts, and he simply feels something and does it with no thought. But he does not know whether it is good or bad. That is why such people often get what is coming for them. This is the first stage.

The second stage is when a person begins to come to know the second level. The first is instinct, and the second is the mind, where he learns control, discipline, and tries to identify the cause-and-effect connection: what he can be praised for and what he can be punished for. But there are extremes there too. A person can become very cold, callous, like a robot.

And after that he comes to know the next, third stage. This is when he needs to come to learn what the heart is. It is bad to be only with the mind. Yes, well done to him for having his mind switch on, for having begun to control everything and having mastered his weaknesses, when he had nothing but instincts. But to be a robot, a cold one, is also not very good. And then he learns to live by heart. He too passes through this polishing, this stage.

And when he has fully come to know the heart, when he has come to know all these worlds, when he has passed through instincts, mind and heart, then the next level opens up — this is the Spirit. This is when you have prepared yourself, your mind and your heart, to such a degree that after this the Spirit can enter into you.

But the most interesting thing is that throughout all the volumes I wrote that the Spirit leads me and writes the book through me, and that the Spirit is me in the future, but I need to become him.
