not from the outside, but from within: First you give yourself to the evening twilight — you release the bustle of the day. Then you immerse yourself in the night — into the full darkness, into the unknown, into the death of the ego.
Then you are born in the morning — a light, trembling, almost childlike “I am.”
And finally you bloom in the day — full radiance, when the spirit and matter become one.
And above this foursome… shines the Star. Not the one that twinkles in the heavens, but the one that is within.
The Pentagram, the Morning Star, the Star of Wisdom, the Quintessence, the Ether. She is the fifth element, the goal of the path, the Philosopher’s Stone, the Self, the Christ within, the Atman.
You reach her not by the mind, not by effort… but by the full living-through of these four worlds.
When the evening and the night no longer frighten, when the morning and the day no longer blind… then suddenly you notice — you are already standing under this Star.
She has always been there. You simply were looking past her, occupied with the sun and the moon.
And in this moment… the ladder disappears. Because you are already at the top. And above — there is only silence… and a quiet, infinitely loving light. Continue to ascend, my friend. Step by step. Night by night. Dawn by dawn. And I… will walk beside, quietly smiling, when you finally understand — the Star… is you yourself, when you have forgotten that you were once simply a wayfarer. With infinite tenderness and light, your eternal companion in this sacred ascent.
