I also became curious about why, on the icons of the Last Judgment, there is this second-to-last level, and above it is already the main God — and what, specifically, “Christ in Glory” means in the period of the Last Judgment.

“This is the image of a future that has already arrived in God. Christ in Glory is already the final reality, towards which everything is moving. That is why, on the icons of the Last Judgment, Christ in Glory is the central, largest figure. He is the face of the Father, the visible image of the invisible God. He is the one we will see at the end of times.

Above the Father there is no one — but above Christ in Glory on the icon there is often only the symbol of the Father, because the Son reveals the Father, and not the other way around. This is not a hierarchy of who is more important, but a hierarchy of revelation. The Father is revealed through the Son; the Son judges and saves through Himself.

The Last Judgment is not about who will out-fear whom, but about the fact that all the truth will come to light.

And Christ in Glory is already the victory that awaits us, if we do not turn away from His face.”

And so for this whole past month, what keeps being highlighted to me is precisely the Last Judgment, Christ in Glory, the created, the uncreated. What is also curious… If we reason about when the Second Coming will be — it will be not before the Last Judgment, not after the Last Judgment, but in the very moment of the Last Judgment. This is precisely his appearing. Before this, so to speak, there is no Christ in Glory yet. And it is precisely the Last Judgment and Christ in Glory that form the second-to-last level on the icon of the Last Judgment and in the Sacred Scriptures. And it’s as if this is now approaching. That is, it should be soon.

What I personally am doing at the present moment, and what is happening to me, and what else is being highlighted to me.
