him depends on how balanced a person’s psyche is — or, on the contrary, he will feel emptiness, but at the same time remember what is good and what is bad and behave well. Right now the darkness has come again — it has covered the whole world.
There are different groups of people, and they have different reactions, but here is one of those groups: you’ll feel an urgent need to put yourself somewhere, but you’ll always choose not the high-frequency, noble thing — that is, the leisure or the person — but the low-frequency one. That is, you won’t go to the library, you’ll go to a restaurant; you won’t write to scientists about their research work — you’ll write to the opposite sex of “easy virtue.” And the point is that you may also be storm-tossed in this way: there’s nowhere to put your attention, because inspiration… What is the Spirit? Inspiration — that is, this light has gone. Right now you may lose heart, and you can no longer write the music you used to write you used to write, or the paintings, or the books — you can’t. Your hands are slack; even going to work is hard, but you go. And what is next? It’s hard to get out of bed, but you get up all the same. And then you want to put yourself somewhere, but films don’t steal your attention, music doesn’t steal your attention — and what to do? What’s going to happen? You’ll go off the rails — it’s always like that. And so, don’t go off the rails. Many will now drink themselves to ruin; those who don’t have a personal life will try to slot themselves into any kind of debauchery, into unclear relationships, anything just to not lose their mind. Seriously. That’s how the self-preservation instinct will be working — but it’s the wrong solution to do that. With your relatives, please; in your own relationships, with your husband, wife, children, please — but right now don’t go reaching for outside people. By no means. Be more careful on social networks — better not to sit there when the darkness is upon us.
When the darkness is upon us, focus and concentration get disrupted; it will be hard for people right now to read my books. And in general, any books will be hard to read. It will be hard to watch intelligent films, hard to pray. All of this will be hard. It’s as if a person’s intellect has become that of some kind of dim person who can only watch stupid films. Just imagine — the most stupid film. And likewise listening to some kind of music, which… I don’t want to offend…
