Chapter 7. The Matrix and the Rhombicuboctahedron
Over the last couple of months, in various sources from various sides — through social networks, through Pinterest, through TV shows and even through a series I had just put on in the background, called “The Girl from Tomorrow” — a 90s Australian series. I found it when I was looking for something similar to the series “Spellbinder,” which I really like, also Australian, from the 90s. And in the first episode of this series, I saw a certain geometric figure — exactly the one that has been highlighted to me lately from all sides. I didn’t know what this figure was called, but here it was already so obvious — it kept being highlighted, which meant I had to mention it in the novel “Alternative History”; it is necessary and important. But I didn’t even understand what for and why, and what it was.
This geometric figure… I have already mentioned it, but right now I just want to share, in more detail, the path I am walking through. I want to also describe and show this path, specifically, in the eleventh volume. The geometric figure is called the “rhombicuboctahedron.” Naturally, I started assembling it from little sticks — I started gluing this geometric figure. I immediately ran into the fact that one must put crosses on each side of these squares. Otherwise this geometric figure won’t hold together. Of course, further on I came to the realization that inside there must also be something else — some kind of crosses there as well. And when I started assembling this geometric figure as a model, I asked my designer to take a look and to check whether this geometric figure — that is, the rhombicuboctahedron — could be inscribed within my matrix, the one I had deciphered back in the second volume of the novel “Alternative History.” As a reminder, that geometric figure — this matrix that had been deciphered, and which one could then see on various icons, where everyone is depicted against the background of this matrix — that was a cube with crosses inside and on the outside, along the walls.
