If we suppose it this way: I am the main character of the book of this novel — how do I feel myself in this role? Simply, in an instant, everyone will die, they won’t understand this, and they will already find themselves in a different world; they won’t know it, where they are — they will, consequently, all see me. But I will also be physically there for them, as a character — and at the same time, I will be “in all of their heads” — or, rather, they will all be “in my head.” And this will happen simultaneously: something will happen in the world, I will become the Second Coming, and consequently, people will end up “in my head.” But this is, in theory, in quotation marks — a supposition.
Further on, they write: “All bodies — those that have decayed, been burned, scattered as dust over the seas — will rise up in fullness, in order never to die again. And those who are living at that moment will be ‘changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.’ The mortal will put on immortality.
And immediately, the judgment — not a process drawn out over years, not sessions with lawyers. Christ will sit on the throne of His glory, and all the nations will be gathered before Him. As a shepherd separates the sheep and the goats, so He will separate them. Some He will set on His right hand (that is, the right side); the others on His left (that is, the left side). And there will be no appeals. There will be no ‘I didn’t know, no one taught me, the circumstances were difficult,’ because the judgment will be by deeds, by the heart, and according to how we treated Him in the persons of the least of His brethren. Love or its absence — that is the only criterion that will remain when everything else burns away. The beginning of the Last Judgment is not a sound of the trumpet, followed by a pause and then a proceeding. It is one indivisible instant: the Coming, then — the resurrection, then — the appearance of everything that was hidden, then — the separation forever, then — ‘Come, ye blessed,’ then — ‘Depart from me, ye cursed.’
And before that — signs, tribulations, the antichrist, the preaching of the Gospel to all the nations, the conversion of Israel — but none of us ‘shall know the day nor the hour.’ That is why the Church calls out: ‘do not wait for the beginning of the Judgment; begin the judgment over yourself today.’ Repentance is a rehearsal in which we ourselves justify ourselves by the blood of Christ, so as not to hear on that day.” Probably that — the repentance — is no longer needed.
