And then I say:

— I started taking photographs, and just imagine — I met up with a girl, we are walking down the street, and her left knee is hurting right here — and I just can’t walk. I say: ‘Listen, is your knee hurting?’ She answers: ‘Yes.’ I say: ‘Right here?’ She answers: ‘Yes.’ I say: ‘I don’t know how I understood this. Well — all the ailments you have, I start to feel on myself, and so I want to somehow remove this, or to cure it, or to disconnect from you. I don’t know what to do with this.’

And that’s it — the doctor-woman is listening to this, and she is in shock. And she says that she is sure she will see me in the future on television, that I am unique, and that this is a wonder, that she is in shock and has never met anyone like this.

And then she took my phone number, if I’m not mistaken, and called me. And, yes, she asked whether, if anything happened, she could call me. I say: “Of course.” And suddenly she then called and said that she wanted to pass the phone to her husband, so that I could consult him on a question of real estate. Just imagine — I’m a boy, I was 17 then, or however old, 18. And I wasn’t a writer back then. But all the people wanted to consult with me. There. Well — naturally, for free, I didn’t need anything. And, on the contrary, it was so pleasant to me that at least someone believed me, and that I could discuss this with someone — because I wanted to talk about it with everyone, and no one could talk to me about it. And that’s why I kept a diary through all of this, so that I would, as it were, simply be telling God, or be writing this to myself. That is — that’s how I would explain it to myself back then.

There was another case. Well — this was even a bit later, but these abilities still remained with me, although I was already a little bit earthly, already halfway in the material world. I was renting an apartment on Italyanskaya in Petersburg. There was a beauty salon, “Lev,” in the courtyard there — maybe it’s even still there to this day. And a man and a woman, already getting on in years, had opened this beauty salon, because the premises were in their ownership. And in the same courtyard they had an apartment at the very top — this kind of mansard with a little balcony — and I was renting it from them.
