when I paid for everything for a week for him, you might say, he even forgot to
maybe give me back the money that he asked me for, which he’d asked of me.
He even forgot that. And so I tell him that I’ll make him the book, no problem.
And I tell him further that:

— If it turns out that again you’re going to listen to who-knows-whom, some of
your odd underling employees there who forever lead you astray and advise you
something, if someone turns up and says, “Come on, let’s do a book with me,
let’s do a book over there,” then, — I say, — then I’ll cross you out of the list of life
altogether, forever. That is, there’ll never be any chance again in your whole life.
This is the last chance.
— All right.

And then I tell him: “Of course, we’ll consult each other, you can give your
opinion, comments on the illustrations, on the book’s material, where we’ll
publish it, we can discuss all this, he can propose his own specialists. If you don’t
have your specialists, I can bring in my team.” He gives me no specialists. I say:
“Then I bring in my team. I bring in my designers, my artists, illustrators. I make
the book simply in the shortest possible time — not a single person in the world
makes a book the way I did. I was in the Spirit and made it right away. I’m making
this whole book.” And then I tell this person, the “celebrity” in quotation marks,
that “I’m getting in touch with my publishing house in an hour, and I need to
know what rights you’ve handed over and to whom, who’s using your name there,
whether the book can be published or not. Find this out from your employees.”
He finds all this out.

I tell him that I spoke with the publishing house, everything’s fine, we have a
whole month for everything, and I’ll manage to get it all done within the month.
And he… And the way he communicates is copy-paste, and he’s forever reposting
me some messages from his employees, so that I’d listen to it all, read it, look
at it, dig through it. As if I’m some kind of odd-job laborer of his. And he sends
me again some correspondence where some whisperers there are already telling
him: “Listen, maybe it’d be better to publish this dude’s book. This one, he likes
publishing books there, so let’s go with him.” Well, and I tell this celebrity — well,
I just snap and say:
