Another thing I saw that’s interesting, how before I was forever attached to
space. There’s time and space, there, the way I’ve now freed myself from it. I saw
this only now, as if I began to see it — why Big Alexander always told me: “Leave
Russia.” He was simply tearing at this unconscious attachment of mine. It’s not
about Russia. Whatever country I’d been born in, he’d have told me to break
away from it, and I was very strongly attached to it. That that’s it, the homeland
and that’s all, everything else is unimportant. And he’d say: “But what about the
world? What about all the people in the world? What about all the countries? What
about all the religions? What about all of this?” And I thought about everything
primitively, the way people do. And I’d tell him — “Alexandr, those people who
run everything” — I was little, I’d ask him, I say:

— And everyone who runs things, are they Englishmen, are they in England?
— Why?
— Well, what country are they in? Which country is it that runs the world?
— None at all. It’s higher, they’re everywhere, they’re in any country.
— Ah, I get it.

But I didn’t understand a thing back then. Because, truly, when you’re already
outside the system, outside these worlds, you — that is, your view of all this is
completely different there. And it doesn’t matter what nation, culture, country
you are, it doesn’t matter, you. That is, let’s put it this way: the system is God. Yes,
it has criteria, by categories, all of it by parameters, it’s this system, arranged like
a computer game, and in it there are different countries, and different people
of different skin colors. But this is all God, this is all the system. How can you
choose one thing and reject another? And yes, people, stewing in this porridge,
in this game, passing through this path of development, they naturally, let’s say,
measure themselves against one another. Who beats whom, and who’s better. But
those who run everything and who are above all of it, they are all of this. There’s
nothing like someone standing behind some one country. There everything
stands behind one important plan, which, whichever way you turn it, concerns
all the countries of the world, and all people, and all of humanity. That’s how it is.
This is what liberation from these parameters is, from this theme of space. What
difference does it make, what space? Why assign me to something? It’s curious.
