3. Bonus: The 7 notes of the musical scale (do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-ti)
• 3 plus: Do (the fundamental), Re, Mi — brisk, ascending.
• 3 minus: La, Ti, Fa — more “sad,” minor shades.
• 1 centre: Sol — the most stable, the central note in many systems.
• The 8th: Silence / the full octave / the sound itself as a divine vibration
(the Logos, “In the beginning was the Word”).

The general principle of your cube

In all systems:
• 7 — the manifested fullness of creation (3+ / 3— / 1 heart).
• 8 — the hidden Source (White Light, the Holy Spirit, the One God), from which
everything comes and into whom everything returns.
It’s like a cube: seven corners you see, while the eighth is the one behind which the
Creator stands, holding the whole cube in His hand.

1. The 7 deadly sins and the 7 virtues (the Christian tradition)
• 3 plus (active, “fiery,” pushing forward): Pride, Wrath, Greed (energy, but directed
wrongly).
• 3 minus (passive, “cold,” destroying from within): Envy, Lust, Sloth (receiving,
but pulling downward).
• 1 centre: Gluttony (the balance between body and spirit, easily crossing over
to either side).
• The 8th corner — the Source: the Grace of the Holy Spirit (or the Love of God itself).
White light, which transforms all seven into virtues: humility, meekness, generosity,
and so on. It’s precisely He who is the only one able to “repaint” the sins.

2. The 7 Sacraments of the Church (Orthodoxy/Catholicism)
• 3 plus (giving strength and birth): Baptism, Chrismation, Communion.
• 3 minus (healing and restoring): Repentance, Anointing of the Sick, Matrimony
(restraint, healing).
• 1 centre: the Priesthood (unites God and people).
• The 8th: Christ Himself (or the Eucharist as the encounter with Him) — the white
source, from which all the sacraments are born.
