Can you imagine? That is, exactly the same as Big Alexander said, that we’re
always ahead of all events by 3–3.5 years, something like that he says. And so it
turns out that for each book you roughly need to reckon on 2–3 years. That is,
everything I write, before it reaches the world — that is, before it reaches the mass
of people, before they’ll experience the same thing and it will be happening to
them — will take 2–3 years, each volume of my novel “Alternative History.” How
interesting. That is, you can already calculate which volume will be, let’s say,
manifested for people this year, which volume of the novel “Alternative History”
will be manifested in 2028.

I was just talking with Big Alexander. And we discussed the conversation I had
with the mystic-old-man. He said that the mystic-old-man said everything
fifty-fifty, that he doesn’t see much, that he doesn’t have access to much, that
there are a lot of contradictions. “He said it wrong about the monks, because
real monks, the ones who truly read the prayers, always manage to read all
the prayers, because they too go off into that state outside of time — they have
their own time there. And if we’re talking about fake monks, then clearly they
don’t manage anything, but they can’t even be called monks anymore, if we’re
speaking of our contemporary monks” — that’s what he said. Whereas the real
ones, he says, the real ones — for them everything’s okay with time. Well, he also
said that the mystic-old-man was afraid to say who the observer is, although
he himself seemed to mean the very same thing, since that’s precisely time,
the one who governs time. Well, because when you’ve gone beyond the limits
of the seven, when you’re the eight, you’re outside of time. Which is exactly
what’s happening with me now. Then Big Alexander said that “The Master and
Margarita,” the work, and Bulgakov… that Bulgakov too became Bulgakov and
famous thanks to the Spirit coming to him. Only he jammed it, was afraid of it,
and at first considered it a demon, which is why in the work he presented it as
Woland. But in reality it was no demon at all. And only afterwards did Bulgakov
understand this and write some more masterpieces of his, other works. He
also said that this Woland — well, more precisely, the Spirit that talked with
Bulgakov — precisely in order to convey the information, presented it through
the work, as if it’s Woland speaking. And that Woland predicted what’s happening
now, and what will be happening in the autumn. That’s what Big Alexander said.
