I listen to all this and don’t even tell Serafima that these are messengers, that this
is the Spirit, because she wouldn’t understand, can you imagine? She doesn’t
know any of this, she hasn’t read my books. She doesn’t even understand at
all who I am. At the same time she’s an entity, but again a “slacker.” That is, a
slacker such that she was already born with a different soul, of a different breed,
with different potential. People generally dream of reaching such a level, but at
the same time her way of life, her whole life, is complete degradation. Simply
terrible degradation. That is, she doesn’t want to get into anything, to know
anything, doesn’t want to listen to anyone — just like that. Simply like, you know,
a difficult child, a hooligan. What next? When, in the first days — this was the
second day — when I listen to all this, I think: “Well, that’s it. Probably a sign, fate.
Probably she’s the one destined.” But naturally I say nothing to her, don’t rush.
The meeting was generally devoted to discussing a joint move, a trip, because I
needed someone to keep me company. And I tell her:

— Listen, how about we fly right now for a couple of weeks to where I want to
move, walk around there and come back. At least we’ll understand right away
whether it’s the place or not, because I still don’t understand which continent,
which country.
— No. I don’t want to go anywhere.
— Then what did we meet for? We met, after all, to discuss the move.
— Well, yes, but I’m not going to be moving right now — I have things to do, I still
have a heap of things to do in Europe and in Piter. I met up just so — we did agree
to see each other, to talk.
— Well, yes. But I’m not asking you to move right now, am I. What’s the difference
whether you’re going to loaf around here for a week or two or there? And this way
we’d at once see what’s what.
— No, I’m not going anywhere.
— All right, fine.

One more day passes. And she’s simply an ordinary mortal person. I won’t list
any minuses and pluses — she’s simply an ordinary person, who can forget
something, leave something behind, not lock something. An ordinary person.
But at the same time, inside — an entity, and outside — the most ferocious slacker.
