is in general. And I said: wow, people are drawn to me to this day — old forgotten
friends, classmates, coursemates, and even people who read me ten or fifteen
years ago — they all turn up, they all ask what to read, they themselves ask me
for books, for the chance to talk with me, and ask when I’ll have presentations.
Big Alexander laughs and says: “You see how it is? This is all the consequence
of what you went through, plus right now people are also beginning to wake up.”
And he says that I should be gentle with everyone — many people are ill at ease
right now as it is — and that everyone must be supported, no one frightened, that
everything’s fine. He says: “Everyone needs your support, let’s say, through books,
through presentations” — and that more and more people will now be drawn to
me. He said that the team is not for nothing, that people are now lining up around
me: friends close to me, old friends, new friends. He says: “This is all a certain
hierarchy, a certain team.” And that when I move, then all the rest of my close ones
will move afterwards, the team of friends. We’ll all be occupied with something,
each with his own affair and with something shared. He said that everything’s
fine. Then he said that we’ll finally take off certain shackles, especially I — on my
birthday. That there’ll be even more of some kind of realization or unfolding of
oneself. I don’t know what that is. Then he said that I don’t need to do anything:
what will be happening in the world, the gods will be doing, whereas right
now I should generally occupy myself with everyday matters. Papers, opening
companies, the move, books for the world. That is, I should occupy myself with
all such matters. And the gods will do everything themselves. They’ll be doing
something there, something in the world, whereas I should occupy myself with
my own affairs. And that the main thing for me is material, social adaptation.
He says that I should be a man of the world, that I should help people through
books, should write for children all over the world, without fail. That I’ll write a
great many books, and that for this it’s necessary that I have no problems of any
kind — that I have a second citizenship, that I learn languages. And this is my
path, such as it is. It doesn’t concern me what will be happening in the world.
He again somehow emphasizes this: what will be happening in the world doesn’t
concern me, and I’m in no way connected with it. I should let nothing distract
me, but occupy myself precisely with my own social, material adaptation, with
my career. And he said nothing about starting a family, about children, about
the search for a bride — about that he said nothing. He spoke, of course, more
friends, classmates, coursemates, and even people who read me ten or fifteen
years ago — they all turn up, they all ask what to read, they themselves ask me
for books, for the chance to talk with me, and ask when I’ll have presentations.
