Chapter 35. Mars and the Matrix
Today is June 11th, 2026. Over this past week, signs were also highlighted for me
in all sorts of programs, films, everywhere. The Spirit was highlighting, putting
the emphasis of my attention on the word “Mars.” Of course, the associations
may be different. Someone may have the association that Mars is the god of war.
Someone will have the association that Mars is a planet. But my association was
initially with the planet after all — that it’s a planet, some place. For some reason,
Mars. Plus also the god and the planet Mars. What else is curious? When I work on
the book, I like to turn on many different programs, or turn on some series, when
I rest before sleep. And to flip through various pictures in the Pinterest app. I do
this so that the Spirit would highlight for me what to pay attention to. From there,
in principle, is where I take all the information — not from a program, what it’s
about, not from a series, what it’s about, but it can simply be some phrase, some
word, but it’s highlighted outright over the course of a day, over the course of a
week. And the word “Mars” was highlighted for me. And right now I’m watching
the series “Person of Interest.” And there — this was just today — one of the main
heroes, John, a former CIA man, meets someone. And he meets with a detective,
an African-American woman named Carter. And they come up to each other,
and she says to him: “John,” and he says to her in reply: “Carter.” I think: “John
Carter, something familiar.” I finish watching the episode, the episode ends. I
turn on classical music, sit down in the kitchen, pour tea, and turn on an audio
message that my friend from Los Angeles recorded for me. And in the first
message it says: “Alexandr, I moved to a new place — Tarzana.” I’m like: “What?
Tarzana?” I’m very greatly surprised at this. Why? Because this year, before
the trip to the United States — that is, it turns out, in February — I was studying
which work the film “John Carter” was based on. There’s this famous American
writer, Edgar Rice Burroughs. And what did he become famous for? He created
the image of Tarzan. And the film “John Carter” is based on him. He’s one of the
science-fiction writers. Before this, Isaac Asimov was being highlighted for me,
and he’s also being highlighted now, and before he was highlighted too — I knew
of him — Philip K. Dick. Three science-fiction writers. The Spirit turns such
an interesting emphasis of attention onto them. And the point is that the place
in California, Tarzana, is named in honor of the writer Edgar Rice Burroughs.
