the other day, I look at a photo, and my mom’s in a red hoodie, and my grandfather is fully dressed in red — and they’re together in the same photo. And I’m thinking: “What is going on? Red has completely surrounded me.”

But honestly, red looks so beautiful in interior design — it’s just something unreal. Of course, this is from my current perspective, because I’m deeply immersed in it right now, but it really is beautiful. Like, if you have an interior space and you just place a red vase or a red statue, or hang a red fan on the wall — it’s just wow. Then, what else did we discuss with my mom? White. But she didn’t talk about its properties. I just told her, “I remember you used to wear white, and I’m afraid of white, because... I’ve never seen any truly successful person prefer white as their main color.” And most often, for some reason, I’ve noticed that it’s a very specific category of women who prefer white — like they’ll wear white pants, a white tank top or white shirt, or a white blouse, and everything is white. When I asked girls or women why everything was white — the white bag, white sneakers, white cap, all white — I was curious, because to me it looked just as vulgar as if someone were dressed entirely in red. I asked several times, whenever I could — acquaintances of acquaintances, if I saw someone all in white — and this topic has always felt strange to me, almost like a sore spot, something that pushed me away. I’d ask, “Listen, why?” And you know what the last girl I asked said? She said she feels that when you’re all in white, you feel pure. Just like that. She said:

— What are you wearing right now? — and I was wearing some faded black pants and my oversized faded black T-shirt. She goes, — You look dirty, like that.

But again, I completely understood the girl’s comment — because I was genuinely interested in her perspective. There was no hate in it. What intrigued me was that, from her world — where people like her prefer white — those kinds of people seem to believe that anyone who wears dark or black clothing looks “dirty,” and that’s why they love to wear white. That’s really interesting. And why is it interesting? Because my mom, I’d say, has very strong feminine energy. You know, there are people who are more unisex — and with them, I always find it easier to connect. For example, when I interacted with some
