22 But if I have found favor with You, send upon me the Holy Spirit so that I may write everything that has been done in the world from the beginning, what is written in Your law, so that people may find the way and those who desire to live in the last times may live.” Thus, Ezra was heard, and his words have reached us. We learn from them. Then it describes how the book we are now reading and studying — the Third Book of Ezra — came to be:
23 And He answered me: Go, gather the people and tell them not to seek you for forty days.
24 But prepare many tablets for yourself and take with you Sariah, Davriah, Salemiah, Ehan, and Asiel, these five capable of writing quickly.
25 And come here, and I will kindle in your heart a lamp of understanding that will not go out until you finish what you begin to write.
26 And when you accomplish this, declare some things and secretly entrust others to the wise. Tomorrow at this hour you will begin to write...
38 And on the next day, a voice called to me: Ezra! Open your mouth and drink what I give you to drink.
39 I opened my mouth, and behold, a full cup was given to me, filled with something like water but its color was like fire.
40 And I took it and drank; and when I drank, my heart breathed understanding and wisdom grew in my chest, for my spirit was strengthened by memory;
41 my mouth was opened and was no longer closed.
42 The Most High gave understanding to five men, and they wrote in order at night what was spoken to them and what they did not know.
43 At night they ate bread; and I spoke by day and was not silent at night.
44 Ninety-four books were written in forty days.
45 And when the forty days were completed,
46 The Most High said: The first that you wrote, set openly so both the worthy and unworthy may read,
47 But keep the last seventy to give to the wise among the people;
48 For in them is the guide of understanding, the source of wisdom, and the river of knowledge. So I did.”

Imagine, it’s all very similar — just as God gives me this Spirit, and as I write books. You see, it has always been this way. This is where all these books
