I decided to take out the Tarot cards and look at that card, and I realized that it’s from the world of Death, that I’m currently in the world of Death, and that this Hermit with the lantern is the one emerging from the night, walking through the night. And I begin to see that these Tarot cards — I had never read them, studied them, or looked into them. They just existed as images, but I had never delved into how they’re used in the human world or what they mean. I had only heard that there are some major arcana, and even then, I had never identified them. And now I see that they have four main groups — that is, wands, meaning these staffs, then swords, then cups, and pentacles.
