Chapter 2. Matrix, Model

It turns out that not long ago, about a week ago, I finished the fifth volume of “Alternative History.” It ended with the realization that the four main elements are not fire, water, earth, and air, but rather ether, earth, water, and air. Ether instead of fire — and fire is actually the fifth. After I made this discovery, I completed the fifth volume and immediately started the eighth volume. Let me remind you again — the eighth volume is next because the sixth and seventh are memories and analysis of all the previous volumes, while the eighth volume is the continuation after the fifth, the continuation of the entire journey. And from the moment I realized what the fourth element is and what the fifth element is, I’ve been feeling very unusual. I’ve completely lost track of time — I don’t know what day of the week it is or how much time has passed. When I go to bed, it’s like I’m in a half- sleep, and I’m shown various dreams. And in those dreams, besides the usual kind of dreams people have — events or stories — I also have dreams where I’m decoding the matrix. It’s as if I’m just lying there in this strange state, where I’m not exactly asleep, and not just lying awake either, but they’re showing me all this, and I’m solving it. I wake up in the morning, and I’m decoding the matrix in my mind with my eyes closed. When I lie down to fall asleep, I’m decoding the matrix. Why am I decoding the matrix? Because from the moment of that discovery, when I finished the fifth volume and realized that fire is in fact the fifth element, I began writing notes every day and sorting everything out: what is the sky, what is the earth, what is the underworld, what is death. That is — morning, day, evening, night. And now, with these four groups, knowing that the last, the fourth, is death — that is, night — I’ve been matching everything else to them and working on that. This includes the suits of playing cards too, which also follow the same structure, and I’m figuring out how they fit into it. Also, as I look for all these variations, I can already give some examples: sky, earth, underworld, death; morning, day, evening, night; spring, summer, autumn, winter; air, earth, water, ether. And after that, the next part is still flawed, but I’ll correct it later. What do I still need to sort out? I need to mark the following as still under question: Eagle, Man, Lion, Ox — these are the four Gospels, like four Spirits, and the evangelists were writing this “Alternative History”, you see?
