You see, I needed to get around the Mystic-Old-Man’s mind. If I had asked him directly if I’d solved the philosopher’s stone, he would’ve said no because he doesn’t believe in the philosopher’s stone. Figuratively speaking, his mind would have kicked in. So instead, I imagined myself back in 2010, saying “I did this, and now I’m doing it like this. Is this it or not? Here’s the sphere.” Why say it like that? I asked, “Is the sphere there?” And he said, “Well, yes.” And you see how he tries to protect himself with his mind and says:

— It’s not exactly that.
— How is it not exactly that? It is that, people just didn’t know what it was.
— Well, yes.

See? Because he can no longer look into what I’m looking into. He still has a safety lock — everything has to stay within the limits allowed to people, within the system, when giving information. Beyond that system, everything just malfunctions for him. Yet someone did create everything according to this matrix, but he can’t answer that. Still, I tried to have a very careful conversation with him so that the dialogue could actually happen.

You know what’s most shocking? The first and second volumes of “Alternative History” are really just the full story from start to finish. All the other volumes are basically the same story, but in more detail. And it’s so curious that the eighth volume feels very much like the second — in both I was deciphering the matrix. Everything overlaps so much. It’s incredible. I feel like the second volume holds some key hints about the whole thing: why the matrix exists, why there’s a sphere inside it, who I am, where we are, and what’s really happening.

The sequence is so important. You know, just now I was reflecting as I opened all my notes and records from the past week, and I realize how everything is happening so simultaneously. I started wondering how it’s best to guide the reader through all this information. At first, I thought I should very thoroughly show and explain what I’ve now started to see — the sacred signs,
